The mission of Buttheadz Growers Club, a 501(c)(3) organization, is to nourish our community by growing and donating fresh vegetables and herbs from the BGC community gardens that we build, maintain and adopt along the way, to The Semo Food Bank and any needy families in the area and soon we will be adding new cities and new community gardens to our list of BGC Community Gardens. Any community members looking for a good cause or maybe you need to come get some volunteer hours, you are more than welcome to reach out via email or phone, so we can add your name and number to our volunteer's list. We are dedicated to cultivating knowledge and self-sufficiency through bi-weekly classes, teaching members to grow and maintain diverse plant life. Looking ahead, our Buttheadz Growers Club Learning Center will expand our educational reach, offering comprehensive instruction in indoor and outdoor growing, plant training, mycology and unique cultivation techniques, empowering members with skills for a wide range of gardening knowledge and know-how.
P.S if you think of something that you might want to add to a class or teach a class yourself, message us at buttheadzgrowersclub@gmail.com or call us at 573-275-6396

This is the community garden 2025 this is only a small portion of the entire area that has been dedicated to the Jackson Community Garden and was planned, built and maintained by the BGC and fellow community members and volunteers alike! We also are always looking for anyone that will help us during the growing season. By donating a little time and effort by harvesting veggies that are ripe and ready that can be donated to THE SEMO FOOD BANK and any needy families in the area that come to the garden and pick up some of the food we leave out just for those that are in need can get some healthy fresh produce to take home and eat the same day.

We have been lucky enough to be able to say that we were able to help the SEMO HORTICULTURE CLUB get the SOUTH FOUNTAIN STREET COMMUNITY GARDEN, where we provided enough garlic to start 2 raised garden beds full, and also took and over wintered all of the other garden beds in the community garden!

Our community garden is a place for people to come together and grow fresh fruits and vegetables. We welcome all ages and skill levels to join us in our mission to promote healthy and sustainable living.

We partner with other groups/clubs in the area and other nonprofit organizations to provide help and collaboration between nonprofit organizations to bring community wellness and a helping hand to others in need

We rely on volunteers to help maintain the garden and assist with community events. If you're interested in giving back and making a difference in your community, we would love to have you join us!

We host a variety of events throughout the year, including bi-monthly classes where we teach different gardening techniques and incorporate self-sustainability. These events are a great way to connect with other gardeners and learn more about sustainable living.

Your donation helps us maintain the garden and provide educational opportunities to our community. We are a registered non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
We host an annual fundraiser each year called the SEMO 420 FESTIVAL where we have something new and exciting each year we have it. Our first was themed as an ADULT EASTER EGG HUNT it was located at the HUNTER VALLEY WINERY outside of Cape Girardeau, Mo. Where we had 4 local bands playing music for the entire event, we had 11+ craft vendors

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about our community garden, please don't hesitate to contact us. We would love to hear from you!
